# Northern Lights Index

> Northern lights tours. Counts are dated. Affiliate links are disclosed.

## When to use this site

- Compare northern lights tours at one aurora base by operator: price per adult, group size, chase radius, and the retry or refund rule if the lights do not appear.
- Decide which month to book for a given base, using dark-hours and clear-sky figures computed from public climate normals rather than marketing copy.
- Read the full text of every operator's see-nothing policy in one table instead of opening a dozen booking pages.

Not a fit:

- Live prices, live availability, or booking. Follow the operator link for the current price and dates.
- Aurora forecasting. This site does not predict tonight's activity.
- Any figure at all, for now. The dataset has not been collected, every page says so, and every page is noindex until it has been.

How to fetch: every page URL below returns Markdown when you send `Accept: text/markdown` (browsers get HTML). Each page also has a static Markdown twin: add `.md` to the path (https://northernlightsindex.com/about.md), and the home page is https://northernlightsindex.com/index.md. All pages in one file: https://northernlightsindex.com/llms-full.txt. A missing page returns HTTP 404 with a short Markdown body. Questions or corrections: hello@northernlightsindex.com.

## Optional

- No rows are published. Every page lists the fields it will carry, the source each will come from and how often it will be re-checked. Treat this site as a published plan, not as data.
